The Ride

Frixos, a hard-working but slightly moody taxi driver, is in a hurry to finish his shift so he can watch a football match with his friends. He won’t go by his mother’s house either, even though he had promised her he would. When 90-year-old Mrs. Elli gets in his taxi, he’s immediately flustered as he realizes that her slow pace will delay him. As much as he tries to speed up the situation, she asks him to take the busier route. No one she cares about is waiting for her where she’s going – she’s been left all by herself and wants to see the center of Athens one last time. A sudden glimpse of sensitivity awakens in Frixos. And so, he goes with her on a ride through time…
